Public Walks

There are many interesting walks around Croughton, read about six of them and follow the trails.

Monthly Tuesday Luncheon Club

Lunch Club will meet every 4th Tuesday of each month at the Stratton Arms, Turweston at 12.30pm. The cost is £7.00 for a 2 course lunch with coffee or tea. Anyone without transport please let us know and we can arrange transport for you. Your annual membership fee of £3.00 is now due. Buttons and Bows

The new sewing & knitting group has got off to a great start and we’ve chosen a name! Buttons & Bows will meet regularly on the first Thursday every month at the village hall. We’ve seen a wide variety of skills on display, from embroidery, patchwork and felting through to knitting and some crochet.
If you’re a beginner don’t be put off - there’s always someone on hand to help and plenty of ideas to pick from. Come and join in - cost is £2 per session which includes refreshments. Next meeting Thursday 1 August 7.30–9.30pm.

Whist 

Our next event will be on Thursday 31 July at 7.00pm for 7.30 p.m. at The Reading Room. This is a light-hearted and enjoyable evening - £3 per person including light refreshments. Please ring Jane on 01869 810004 to book a place.

Birth preparation classes

Daisy Birthing classes are FEDANT (Federation of Antenatal Educators) approved weekly antenatal classes. Combining yoga inspired movement, birth breathing, education and hypnosis-relaxation, the classes aim to help you birth with confidence, whatever your birth plan. Classes are for mummies-to-be only and will provide you with a range of movements and techniques to prepare emotionally and physically for labour and birth. We build on these week-on-week so that you'll feel confident in using these techniques for your birth - they'll be second nature! Line Dancing

Starting on Thursday 1st March 7.30pm - 8.30pm - New beginners Modern linedance class.
Every Tuesday 7pm-10pm for improvers/intermediates.

2 hour session £5.00. 1 hour with instruction £3.00. At Croughton village hall.

Croughton Active

The next date for the group for the 8 to 13 year olds to meet in the Reading Room is Wednesday 27th March at 6.00 pm. All youngsters in this age range are welcome
There is a charge of £1.00 per head to help with the costs of the room.
The sessions are supervised by Ian Anderson, the youth co‑ordinator for SNC supported by a few parents, so if any adults feel able to assist occasionally, please come along and make yourself known. It does not need to be a regular commitment.
Come and have fun with indoor sports, school playground games and quizzes.  Come along and tell us your favourite game and what you would like to do.
